FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Jump to a question:
What is copywriting?
Copywriting is the art of crafting written content, often referred to as "copy," for various marketing and advertising materials. The goal of copywriting is to persuade, engage, and compel the audience to take a specific action, such as making a purchase, signing up for a service, or clicking a link. Copywriters use their creativity, language proficiency, and understanding of human psychology to create compelling messages that resonate with the target audience.
Effective copywriting involves understanding the particular audience's needs, desires, and pain points, and then framing the message in a way that addresses these aspects all while highlighting the benefits of the product or service being promoted.
Why do I need PWC as a copywriter?
Let us answer your question with another question:
What really makes the Internet (and billions of dollars of e-commerce) go ‘round?
Superior tech? Nope.
Fancy websites? Uh-uh.
It’s words. Still don’t believe us? If you take a website, strip it of images and animations, what are you left with? Words. Like it or not, the written word drives the web.
We help you harness the written word to drive content strategy, increase brand and product awareness, grow website traffic, create demand, drive leads, and improve your sales velocity. Bottom line: your bottom line depends on it.
Why should I hire you to write and design content instead of using an AI chatbot like ChatGPT?
People take action; not AI chatbots. While bots like ChatGPT, Bing, and Bard have all become increasingly sophisticated, they still cannot replicate all the cultural nuances, emotions, and humanizations behind language. They can produce impressive responses, don't get us wrong. But chatbots do not actually "understand" the meaning of words. They just know stats and rely on patterns learned during training.
Copywriting is frequently geared toward evoking emotions, whether it's empathy, excitement, or urgency. Human writers can empathize with the emotions and experiences of the target audience, creating content that resonates on a deeper level. Unsurprisingly, people still prefer content crafted with a human touch rather than content created solely by AI.
Think of chatbots as an excellent, but overly compliant assistant. They can help you brainstorm and generate ideas, but they’ll never tell you if your idea is stupid.
How much will it cost?
Great question! Please see the Services and Pricing page for more information regarding costs. Projects will be priced based on scope and complexity.
What are your payment terms?

What is the process for a new client?
Discovery call. To begin, we'll connect on a quick call (either phone or Zoom) to talk about your project and marketing goals. Once we’ve fleshed out the project, we will send you a contract to sign. After the contract is signed, we will send a content brief for you to fill out.
Research and planning. We'll delve into extensive research about your business and industry. If needed, we'll conduct interviews with you, your team, industry experts, and even your customers to grasp the subject matter deeply. In the planning phase, we present exactly what the project will entail in the form of an outline for your approval.
Writing. Once you give the green light to the outline, we'll start the writing process. The turnaround time will be as agreed upon in our contract, usually within 3-7 business days.
Delivery. I deliver copy in Google Docs. Website designs will be delivered through the approved platform (Google Sites, Wordpress, Squarespace, etc.)
Revisions. I'll carefully review and adjust the content based on your feedback. The first round of revisions is included in the price.
Celebrate. Huzzah! We’ll all celebrate how amazing the content turned out and give ourselves a big ol' pat on the back!
Do you offer revisions?
Yes! I provide one round of free revisions for each project. Once you receive the assets, you can go through and make suggestions on the Google Doc. Once I receive your requests, I will make the necessary changes.
Where did the name "Pembroke Welsh Creative" come from?
The name was inspired by Steph's corgi, Fred. She went with Pembroke Welsh Creative because "Magnificent Floof," "Freddie Fluffbutt," "Fur Turd," and "Sassy Twinkie" weren't reputable business names. Fred has an obscene amount of personality and is incidentally the model for the company logo.
